Before you write in

Check that the game meets all three criteria โ€” we can't add it if it doesn't.

  • Free and legal to play
Open-source, public domain, or officially available without payment. No pirated ROMs, no unofficial emulators for copyrighted titles, no subscription-gated demos.
  • Playable from a URL, no install
Must run in a desktop browser by clicking a link. No launcher, no executable, no account required for the first session.
  • Genuinely worth playing
Has meaningful gameplay โ€” not a stub, a tech demo, or an abandoned project that barely boots. Should be something a stranger would enjoy for at least 15 minutes.

What to include in your message

Send an email to [email protected] with:

  1. Game name โ€” the full title as the developers use it
  2. Play URL โ€” the direct browser-playable link (not a download page)
  3. Licence โ€” GPL, MIT, CC, public domain, or a link to the licence file
  4. Source repo or project page โ€” GitHub, GitLab, SourceForge, etc.
  5. Why it belongs here โ€” one or two sentences on what makes it worth someone's hour

Suggestions without a licence reference are harder to vet. If you're unsure, include what you know and we'll look into it.

What happens after you submit

We review every suggestion personally. If the game qualifies, we'll add it as a channel โ€” which means writing a proper editorial description, verifying the licence, setting the difficulty and genre, and confirming the embed or link is stable. That takes a few days. We'll reply to confirm receipt and let you know the outcome.

If the game doesn't qualify โ€” usually because of a licence issue or because it requires an account โ€” we'll tell you why. Sometimes a game is a strong candidate but has a framing restriction we can't work around; we'll add it as a link channel rather than an embed in those cases.

What we're not looking for

  • Games that require creating an account before play
  • Games with in-app purchases or a free-to-play paywall structure
  • HTML5 clones of proprietary games (Mario clones, Tetris clones, etc.) โ€” the licence question is always complicated
  • Games that only work in one specific browser or require a plug-in
  • Mobile-only games (pinch-to-zoom controls, portrait-only layout)
  • Promotional content, sponsored suggestions, or affiliate arrangements
