COPPA Notice

The Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) is a U.S. federal law that limits what websites can collect from children under 13. Joyantenna takes COPPA seriously. This page explains what that means in practice.

Quick version: Kids under 13 can play every Joyantenna game as a guest — no account, no personal data collected. An account with a leaderboard and wallet requires a parent or guardian's verified consent.

1. What we do when someone is under 13

When a visitor enters their birth information during account registration, our system checks their age. If they indicate they are under 13 years old (US) or under 16 years old (EU), we do the following:

2. Guest play (no consent required)

Every game on Joyantenna is freely playable without an account. In guest mode, scores are saved only to the browser's local storage on the user's own device. We do not transmit or store any game data server-side for guests. When the browser data is cleared, the scores are gone. There is no leaderboard participation, no currency wallet, and no profile for guest players.

3. Parental consent process (for a minor account)

If a child under 13 would like a full account (to appear on leaderboards and earn in-game currency), a parent or guardian must provide verifiable parental consent. Here is how it works:

4. What a minor account collects

We do not collect full names, phone numbers, addresses, photos, or any information beyond what is listed above.

5. Parental rights

Parents and guardians may at any time:

6. Data collected from all users

Our full Privacy Policy describes all data practices. In short: we hash IP addresses before storage, we use session-only cookies, and we do not embed any third-party advertising or tracking.
